SaaS (Software as a Service) - What about a "Server" as a Service?

Business owners are starting to open up to the concept of using Software as a Service.  You pay a monthly fee (often based on the number of users) for a hosted application that resides out in the cloud, and you don’t have to worry about sourcing hardware, software licenses or on-going support.  Some popular examples are hosted Exchange and SharePoint.

The problem for many business owners is where their data resides and how much control they have.  And if their data is stored south of the border, does the difference in U.S. privacy rules become an issue?

Another option is a Server as a Service.  Check out our Virtual Managed Machine, a service that gives one or more of your applications a 100 Mbps mulit-homed connection to the Internet. You pay a monthly fee, based on the CPU, RAM, Storage and GB traffic you require.  And you can easily upgrade and add more resources as you  require.  Unlike a server that you’d purchase, you only pay a monthly fee for the resources you need, instead of a capital expense based on your needs 3 or 5 years from now.  Your data and applications reside on a Primus managed Virtual Server that resides in one of our 7 data centres, and you have (as part of the service) a 100 Mbps multi-homed connection to the Internet.
